The Foundation Museum of The Second Renaissance brings to Venice the jewels of art gathered by Russian collectors between the Nineteenth and Twentieth century: works by Malevich, Tatlin, Christolubov, Rudakov and others.
The exhibit displays about 200 works coming from the most important private collections of Russian works of art outside Russia. Nineteenth and Twentieth century Russian art is celebrated in all its diversities of subjects and styles through very high quality of works that make the exhibit an international event.
A collection that offers the opportunity of learning and delving into the importance of private collecting which, in the Nineteenth and Twentieth century, between Moscow
and Saint Petersburg
, took-on an importance such to contribute in giving birth to true and bonafide museums in private homes.
