"My photographs were taken on my first visit to Venice in November 2000. In such a lovely and magical city, one can point a camera just about anywhere and get great photographs. I am a graphic designer so I work with photographs in publications I design -- when I take my own photographs with a little Olympus pocket camera I look for patterns and rich colors and interesting shapes -- in Venice there was so much to choose from. I especially liked looking for the winged lion of St. Mark -- incorporated in stone reliefs, door handles, bell pushes, gates, statues and cornices. I took photos of all of them!
